This iconic Huntington Beach location has a lot to offer! A favorite photo is straight through the middle of the pillars!
Mini Sessions work well at the Pier and parking is easy - you can't miss it!
I generally suggest a morning sessions as they are less busy and offer a more private photo shoot. (The afternoons can be busy in the summer.) Mid-week photo sessions are also less busy than weekend sessions.
On my schedule page, I have setup most of my mini sessions at days and times that produce the best results. I do try to schedule mid-week, weekend, morning, and afternoon mini sessions to accommodate everyone's busy lifestyle.
Dog Beach is another favorite location in Huntington Beach!
This is the only beach in HB where dogs are allowed, so feel free to bring them along.
Most of us consider our pets to be part of the family so why not include them in your family photos?
I really love the combination of rocks & beach.
And there is a lifeguard tower hanging over the rocks which can can be a great feature in your photos if the lifeguard is off duty (shhhh...)
As an added bonus, the HB Pier is clearly visible in the distance!
I usually plan for this location during the week as weekends tend to be extra busy!
HB Central Park is also a special place!
If you're looking for something a little quieter and love the natural vibe of a park then Central Park is the spot!
As a Huntington Beach photographer I spend quite a bit of time here!
HB Central Park is very woodsy and natural, with a large lake in the middle. The beautiful logs resting under the trees and along the lake make great seats with very nice backgrounds.
There is also plenty of green grass if you want that look! A very nice alternative from the beach locations.
If you have young children or older family coming to your photo shoot then this location may be the easiest for you!
